Great North Maths Hub and Prospero have been elected by DfE to recruit a pool of experienced, well-qualified maths and physics teachers from America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
If you have identified difficulties in recruiting maths or physics teachers for September 2018 or January 2019, or if you want to broaden your pool of applicants for your vacancies at no extra cost, register your interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Prospero will screen applicants to identify high quality teachers, we will then follow up with another interview. This will very much mirror the interview style and questions we would ask a local or internal candidate, so we can be sure we are offering you a strong prospective employee.
GNMH will then match an international applicant to your vacancy. You will decide whether to interview the applicant as part of your normal interview process (usually via Skype).
What do you need to do?
- Pay the cost of VISA (usually up to £600).
- Provide a mentor for the international applicant
- Commit to providing appropriate CPD for the international applicant during their employment.
