In an ever-competitive market we strive to set students apart when it comes to applying for employment or University. All students are encouraged to participate in activities that will provide them with the competitive edge when applying or their next steps in their future. On a Wednesday afternoon we have Enrichment Activities which is based on an individual’s’ needs allowing a personalised approach and a valuable enhancement to sixth-form.
As part of continual support for students, especially in Year 12, every subject provides additional support sessions weekly to allow students the opportunity to consolidate and extend their classroom learning.
At Churchill Community College we value the impact of peer-mentoring. Students in Year 12 are encouraged to help students in Years 7 and 8 with reading and home learning through one to one support. Students also support students in our feeder primary schools through the Beanstalk Reading Programme.
All students, and parents, receive regular reports detailing progress and targets allowing for all interested parties to work together to support students in reaching their full potential.
