As the season of Advent begins on Saturday, we are cross December we are going to demonstrate our kindness throughout the month of December. Instead of a traditional Advent Calendar our advent will focus on random act of kindness and a suggested give.

The act of kindness will be carried out in school or at home by everyone for example this could be asking someone how they are or helping someone out.

Each day will have a suggested ‘give’.  We do not expect our community to contribute each day – the suggested ‘give’ is purely voluntary.   Our suggested gives are food items, which will be donated to The Bay Food Bank, North Shields and The Phoenix Detached Youth Project at the end of term.

An additional ‘give’ is to donate a present/something towards a present which will go to a child who is in hospital over the festive period. All presents collected will go to Northumbria Specialist Care Hospital, Cramlington and St Oswald’s Hospice where they will be shared amongst all of the young people there through Our Milo’s Christmas Appeal.  Please mark presents as being suitable for a boy or girl and the suggested age group.  Presents will be received until Wednesday 12th December.

Students should leave donations in their Tutor Rooms, which will then be taken to The Hub.
