AN urban dance troupe from Tyneside have secured a slot performing alongside top music stars.

ANSD, a street dance group from Amanda Nicole School of Dance, in Willington Quay, North Tyneside, won the chance to perform at Live Fest with national superstars like N-Dubz and Tinchy Stryder after wowing the judges in the final of the Britain Does Variety competition.

In an almost identical set-up to Britain’s Got Talent, an expert panel of judges travelled the length and breadth of the country in search of unique talent to take to the stage at the o2 arena in London on July 23.

And ANSD were awarded the judge’s choice vote at the finals in Kettering, Northamptonshire, for their modern dance style described as hip hop theatre.
