End of Term Activities
Following the success of our whole college trips last summer, we are doing the same this year. This is an important part of our college calendar and involves all students and staff.
This year our visits include:-
Year 7 – Our Coast. We will visit Tynemouth where we will go to the Aquarium and find out about sea life, visit Tynemouth Park for Crazy Golf and go to the beach for games.
Year 8 – Our Heritage. We will visit Beamish Open Museum, explore the site and take part in workshops examining our history.
Year 9 – Our Future. We will visit Northumbria University and explore what options we have in the future, what higher education is and participate in workshops.
Year 10 – Our City. We will visit Newcastle and explore what it has to offer through an Open Top Bus Tour, a short walking your and visiting the Great North Museum where we will see ‘Dippy the Dinosaur.’
Year 12 – Our Future. We will visit Leeds and explore the local university and what it has to offer.
Further details of each trip, including detailed timings are being sent home with students this week and we will text you to let you know that a letter has been sent out.
Our last day of term is Friday 19th July. A range of activities will be on offer on the 19th July and students can sign up to these in advance. Details will be shared during Tutor Time next week. This will be a non uniform day and the college will close at 12.50pm for students. Anyone requiring a lunch on that day, this will be provided. Please contact your child’s Learning Coordinator if you have any questions.
