ECO Students Challenge Parents to Help!
Churchill Community College has been challenged by the College Eco Group, to help them reduce the amount of paper being used by the College.
The Group, who successfully won a major honour by designing an Eco Friendly House in a national competition, have now set their sights on helping the College to achieve an Eco Schools Award.
The group have identified that the number of letters and forms being posted out to parents can be reduced enormously by asking parents and carers one simple question. CAN WE HAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS ?
By collecting the email addresses of all our parents and carers, we can reduce our carbon footoprint.
All of the emails collected will be held on a secure database, with access available by staff only. The group will be working very closely with Mr Strachan and Mr Aird to collect as many email address as possible.
"If we can collect all of the email addresses of every parent/carer, we can save over 15,000 sheets of paper per year" said our ECO Group.
