Students visit their friends in Chrudim!

Churchill Community College students took to the skies once again to visit the Czech Republic, and see their friends in Chrudim.
The twice yearly trip for both sets of students starts at Easter, with the students from Chrudim travelling to Tyneside, followed by the return journey for our students in October.
"The visits just get better and better, and the enjoyment for both groups is there for all to see" said Malcolm Jacobs - Teacher at Churchill.
The students spend Monday - Thursday in Chrudim experiencing all different types of challenges, working with disabled or disadvantaged children.
"I thought it was amazing and I'd do it every year if I could, we have some great friends in Chrudim and it's really nice to see them again and talk about things". said Ronnie Dunbar - Churchill student.
This year, the Churchill students took a banner with them to hang in the Chrudim school which read, 'Churchill Community College and Chrudim Business Academy - Working Together in Friendship.' The Chrudim staff thought the banner was so good they asked if they could keep it and have it on display all the time.
The students had a fantastic time and were looked after by two members of the Churchill staff, Mrs Sarah Lawlor - Post 16 Progress Tutor and Mr Malcolm Jacobs - Lead Learning Co-ordinator/Teacher.
