Dear Parent / Carer,

We have had three calls to the school over the last week raising concern about
the conduct of students on bikes on their way to and from school. Members of
the public have raised concerns that there will be an accident and a student will
get seriously hurt.

We had assemblies on this before Christmas and spoke to students about this in
tutor time earlier in the week, but since then we have still had two further
phone calls from people in the local community. Today, the concern raised was
that:

‘three boys from Churchill were shooting out in the road in front of cars on
their bikes. One of them started doing wheelies down the middle of the road
and laughing at the cars behind'.

Please can you talk to your child about road safety on their way to and from
school so we reduce the chances of a serious accident.

Thank you for your support.
