What A Day!

Children in Need & Year 7 Enterprise Day
Wednesday 19th November 2009

Enterprise Day

Some days you just have to sit back and admire just how much effort and hard work some students put in.

Enterprise Day for Year 7, was a contest of artistic and design skills against great imagination. The object of the day was for students to design a totem pole and a sustainable area, which would be built and erected within the grounds of the College.

Some of the ideas the students came up with were:

Themed recycle bins, wind turbines, roof top garden, grow your own area, community swop shop, community recycle bins and many more great ideas.

The students worked tirelessly throughout the day to produce some truly amazing designs, as well as some rather strange ones. "The day was a major success, with all of the students having a fantastic time and getting covered in glue and paint!" said Sarah Edwards - Skills and Enterprise.

Pudsey Conga

Pupils from Year 4, from our four primary feeder schools, took part in a 180 pupil conga around Churchill's Sports Hall, all in aid of Children in Need 2009. Lead very enthusiastically by Mr Jacobs - Lead Learning Coordinator at Churchill, and the bear himself Pudsey!

The pupils had a quick practice, and then got straight into the swing of the music and danced their hearts out behind Pudsey.

Once the children had finished dancing to the conga, they all shouted for more and off they went again. Pudsey lead the line twice and danced to the beat of the music, while the children laughed and squealed with excitement as they completed the Pudsey Conga.
